an image of the design we'll build is here....

Bob Dawes dehydrator page

I have FINALLY finished research on materials for the dehydrator I've
shown you all. I've sourced all the products, and located the best
prices I can find on such things as uncoated stainless steel screen
and polycarbonate glazing.
I've determined the best size to utilize the material widths will be
24" x 72". That will give you three screens that are 2 feet square
each. That should dry quite a bit of stuff at once. It will be
constructed from cedar, polycarbonate glazing for light weight and
shatter resistance, sheet metal absorber plate, corrugated tin
reflector, and galvanized hinges and screws-all materials that can
stay outside all the time.
I'd like to get 10 people interested in doing a workshop to build
these on a saturday or sunday in early June. If I can get that number
of people, the cost would be $220 each. This will be done at my shop,
and we'll be able to get them finished and take them home in a day.
We'll have a potluck lunch and it will be a lot of fun.
